Wedgewood Ward Park Play Day
During the spring, summer, and fall months, we generally meet at Austin Creek Park (on W. Willow Creek Drive, between W Comisky Drive and W Sedona Drive in the Austin Creek subdivision). During the summer, we will occasionally meet at a park with a splash pad or other fun activities to engage our kids of all ages in some summer fun! During the coldest of winter months, we generally meet in the cultural hall at the Church. However, if the weather is favorable, we do occasionally meet at the park during the winter. All ward members, family, friends, and neighbors of all ages are welcome to join us! Thanks!
Each fall season, in conjunction with our Primary Program rehearsal, we love inviting the Primary Children to engage in a service project. For years, we have been inspired by the idea of "kids helping kids" in our own community. Through a company called "My Very Own Blanket", we began (in 2021) creating beautiful, snuggly, fleece blankets for children entering the foster care system here in the Treasure Valley. If you would like more information on this wonderful opportunity to serve, you can find more information at https://www.myveryownblanket.org or www.justserve.org, or watch their video below. More recently, we have been blessed to receive enough fleece donations from our ward members that we have not needed to purchase fleece. Thank you so much to all those who donate!
Shortly after school is out for the summer, our amazing Stake Primary Leaders organize a stake-wide primary activity day for the Senior Primary children. It is not to be missed, and is always a highlight of the summer! Flyers and announcements are routinely posted and sent home with primary children in May and June. We can't wait to see what our inspired Stake Primary leaders have in store for us this summer!
